Agape Clinic

Health care is so inadequate. Myanmar Christian Mission started a medical facility called Agape Clinic. Joshua has a doctor and a nurse in his congregation who provide the medical expertise. The clinic also has a part-time dentist. Agape Clinic is open about 4 hours a day and freely treats all who are sick and in need of medical and dental care. We supply the funds for the medical staff, dentist, medicines and supplies. Tuberculosis and malaria are two diseases that kill thousands of people each year because they have no money for medicines. Curing tuberculosis is a six - month treatment. One month's treatment is about $30 per patient. Therefore a 6-month course of treatment is $180 per patient.
As Joshua travels to other cities to preach, often the doctor and nurse travel with him. They treat the sick and this provides an open door for Joshua so he can proclaim the gospel to the villagers.
One great advantage to having Christian literature is that Joshua can leave it with the people wherever he preaches. Also every patient at the Clinic, either in Yangon or in the villages receives a pamphlet on how to become a Christian.
