Eastern Bible Institute


Forty-five minutes north of Yangon is Eastern Bible Institute (EBI). EBI is a Bible college, with 160 students. There are 10 professors and a staff of about 5 workers. The largest portion of the school's financial support comes from another brotherhood mission organization working in Myanmar. We help EBI by supplying money to feed the students. Also we minimally provide financial support to a few of the professors. There is a possibility our financial support to EBI may increase in the future.

EBI is expanding its role in developing future church leaders. The school's enrollment continues to increase. A new chapel was constructed. Currently they are constructing a classroom building for the graduate students. Myanmar Christian Mission played a part in providing the funds to erect the graduate classroom building.

Our vision for the future includes fully supporting a large number of native evangelists in every state and division in the country. We plan to have Christian literature translated, printed and distributed in all the major dialects of Myanmar. We will continue to establish medical clinics around the country to provide free medical care to the sick.
